Kamloops building sector experiences cooler November; still nearly on par with 2024 numbers
KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops building sector may be limping across the finish line to surpass last year’s construction revenue.
New numbers released by the City of Kamloops Building Inspection Division show nearly $15.5 million in activity was recorded over 99 permits in November 2025, nearly half the value of $30.6 million recorded over 91 permits during the same month in 2024.
Notable categories for November 2025 include 11 five multi-family – three or more units – permits bringing in $7.5 million, nine commercial permits bringing in nearly $2.6 million, five institutional permits bringing in $1.4 million and two earthwork permits bringing in $1.5 million.
Year-to-date, the city has doled out 1,002 permits totaling nearly $343 million as of November 2025, slightly down from nearly $345 million over 942 permits as of the same point in 2024.
