UPDATE: Fog advisory lifted for Cariboo, South Thompson areas

KAMLOOPS — (UPDATE 9:30 a.m.): The fog advisory for the South Thompson and Cariboo region has been lifted.

A similar advisory for the Prince George area has also been lifted.

EARLIER – Drivers in the Kamloops area are being warned of limited visibility on their Friday (Dec. 5) morning commute.

Environment Canada has a yellow-level fog advisory in effect for the South Thompson and Cariboo regions until late Friday morning.

The weather agency asks drivers to be prepared for areas of near zero visibility and to allow extra time for them to reach their destination. Additionally, drivers are asked to turn on their lights, slow down and maintain a safe following distance.
