KAMLOOPS — Two men have been arrested after reportedly stealing a security vehicle in Salmon Arm and fleeing to Kamloops.

Just after 11:00 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 2), RCMP say officers from the Salmon Arm detachment responded to the 300-block of Alexander Street where a security guard reported that his vehicle had been stolen from a business.

“The vehicle was located by Kamloops RCMP officers and a traffic stop was attempted in Dallas. The suspects fled from one officer but ran over the spike belt of another,” BC RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Brett Urano says.

Police say the stolen security vehicle continued driving on four deflated tires to a parking lot near Dallas Drive and Todd Road, where the two men were arrested.
