Deliberately set fires destroy bench, vehicle in Salmon Arm
SALMON ARM, B.C. — Police in Salmon Arm are investigating a pair of arson fires.
In a news release, Cst. Andrew Hodges of Salmon Arm RCMP says the first fire was discovered last Friday (Nov. 21) at about 1:20 a.m., in the 300-block of Hudson Avenue Northeast.
A wooden bench had been set ablaze. The two-metre-high flames were large enough to damage a nearby bank building.
Then on Tuesday at about 2:55 a.m., Mounties found a vehicle had been ignited on Shuswap Street near First Avenue Southwest.
