KAMLOOPS — The BC Interior Community Foundation (BCICF) is preparing to operate the latest iteration of its Christmas Cheer Donation Station to help raise money to support a trio of local charities this holiday season.

The donation station will be set up in the atrium of the TNRD building at 465 Victoria Street. It will be open Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. between Nov. 24 and Dec. 19.

BCICF Executive Director Wenda Noonan said the donation station will transform the TNRD building into a holiday wonderland with activities – like photo stations, wreath making and oil-painting demonstrations – for people of all ages.

“The Christmas Cheer Donation Station is where generosity meets celebration,” Noonan said. “It’s a place where every gift, no matter the size, helps brighten the season for families and strengthens the charities that support our communities year-round.”

Proceeds from this year’s Christmas Cheer Fund will go towards the Y Women’s Emergency Shelter, Kamloops Immigrant Services, and the Chris Rose Therapy Centre for Autism. According to BCICF, each of those recipients will get “flexible funding” to strengthen their programs and services.

Donations to the Christmas Cheer Fund can be made at the donation station while its open, at the BC Interior Community Foundation office on Victoria Street or online here until Dec. 31.
