November 1, 1935 – November 9, 2025
The family of Marie Ziebart are very saddened to announce her passing on November 9, 2025, at Ridgeview Lodge in Kamloops, B.C. She was the fourth child in a family of eight, born to George and Ann (née Boychuck) Drobot.
Marie was a long-time parishioner of Sacred Heart Cathedral. She and Tom were married on November 6, 1956, at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Kamloops, and their love endured until his passing in 2002. They began their married life in Saskatchewan before moving to Oliver, B.C., and eventually settling in Kamloops in the 1960s.
Marie worked hard her entire life — as a bank teller, clerk, cashier, health care worker at Tranquille, and finally as manager of Nicola Towers, where she spent her last 20 working years. She loved to travel and visited Washington State, Florida, New York City, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Germany, and Greece.
She was predeceased by her sister Helen and brothers John, Nick, Eugene (Amber), and Steve. She is survived by her brothers Ernie and Pete (Betty); her son Tracy (Heather); her grandson Travis — the apple of her eye; and a large extended family of nieces and nephews, too many to name, as both she and Tom came from families of eight.
A Prayer Service will be held at Sacred Heart Cathedral on November 24 at 5:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place on November 25 at 11:30 a.m. with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzhemers Society.
May she rest in peace — Memory Eternal.
You may offer a message of condolence at Schoening Funeral Service for the Ziebart family.
