KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers will have some representation when the top Canadian Hockey League (CHL) prospects go up against a team from the U.S. National Development Program next month.

Forward JP Hurlbert has been named to the CHL squad for the CHL USA Prospects Challenge, which will take place on Nov. 25 in Calgary and Nov. 26 in Lethbridge.

Hurlbert, a 17-year-old rookie from Allen, Texas, leads the Canadian Hockey League with 28 points (11 G, 17 A) in 14 games so far this season.

He was one of eight WHL players added to the CHL team for the event.
