Suspicious fire sends North Shore family to hospital
KAMLOOPS — For the second time this month, a house fire on the North Shore has sent a family to hospital. In this case, RCMP believe the fire’s origin is suspicious.
Kamloops RCMP say officers supported Kamloops Fire Rescue as they worked to extinguish a structure fire on the 300-block of Alexander Avenue at around 11:15 p.m. Monday (Oct. 27).
In a news release issued Tuesday morning, RCMP didn’t specify how many members of the family were involved in the house fire or provide descriptions. However, police say they are expected to be released from hospital after escaping from the late-night fire.
