Overnight blowing snow advisory issued for Okanagan Connector
MERRITT, B.C. — Drivers on the Okanagan Connector are being warned of challenging winter conditions overnight.
In a blowing snow advisory issued shortly after 5:00 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 28), Environment Canada says strong, gusty crosswinds and snowfall will result in limited visibility on Highway 97C between Kelowna and Merritt.
The weather agency issues blowing snow advisories when visibility is expected to be 800 metres or less for at least three hours due to snowfall and wind conditions.
If visibility is reduced, drivers are asked to slow down, watch for taillights ahead and be prepared to stop.
