SALMON ARM, B.C. — A landmark in Salmon Arm was given international recognition.

The Treble Clef at 111 Lakeshore Dr. NE was named the winner of Municipal World’s 2025 Great Canadian Landmark Contest. The award was presented during the Communities in Bloom Awards Gala on Oct. 18 in Stratford, Ont.

“Every community has something that makes it special, and through this contest, we aim to shine a light on those unique places that bring people together,” Anthony Gibbons, Municipal World CEO says in a news release. “This year’s winner reflects Salmon Arm’s deep-rooted love of music and community, while serving as a modern-day symbol of creativity, unity, and Canadian pride.”

The Salmon Arm Treble Clef is a 45-foot steel sculpture that incorporates the opening bar of “O Canada.” The Treble Clef will be featured in the December edition of Municipal World magazine.
