Kamloops United finishes seventh at 2025 Toyota National Championships U-17 Cup

KAMLOOPS — A seventh place finish for Kamloops United Football Club (KUFC) at the 2025 Toyota National Championships U-17 Cup in the Tournament Capital this week.

Kamloops beat PEI FC 4-2 in the match for 7th/8th place Sunday (Oct. 12) afternoon at McArthur Island. They finished the tournament with two wins and two losses in their four games.

KUFC wrapped up the round-robin stage in second place with a 5-2 win over Halifax County Thursday and a 4-2 loss to Winnipeg South End United Wednesday.

It set up a Saturday (Oct. 11) quarterfinal against Suburban FC from Bedford, Nova Scotia that Kamloops lost 5-0.

Suburban FC and Saskatoon Alliance will meet in Monday’s (Oct. 13) tournament final at 10:40 a.m. while North Vancouver FC and Cherry Beach SC from Toronto play for third place at 8:00 a.m.

KUFC earned a spot in this tournament after the won a bronze medal at the Provincial ‘A’ Cup tournament in July. That tournament in Kamloops was won by North Vancouver FC.
