Blazers begin East Division road trip with defeat in Prince Albert
PRINCE ALBERT, SK — The Kamloops Blazers are in a bit of a slump as they’ve now lost three consecutive games in the Western Hockey League.
Friday night in Prince Albert, the Blazers began their six-game East Division road trip with a 5-2 defeat against the Raiders at the Art Hauser Centre.
The Blazers, who began the season with three wins on the trot, started on the back foot as the Raiders raced to a 3-0 lead. Kamloops native Evan Smith, Justice Christensen, and Max Heise struck to put Prince Albert up inside the first five minutes.
Nathan Behm pulled one back for the Blazers just before the midway point of the period to make it a 3-1 affair after 20 minutes.
