CFJC newsroom wins industry award for Red Bridge fire coverage

KAMLOOPS — CFJC News has been honoured by the broadcast industry for our coverage of the Red Bridge fire.

At the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) West Region awards gala in Vancouver earlier this week, CFJC took home the honour in the ‘Breaking News — Small/Medium Market’ category.

The newsroom had extensive coverage of the fire that destroyed the Red Bridge on September 19, 2024.

CFJC‘s entry will now move on to compete at the national level. The national awards will be handed out at a gala in Toronto on November 1.
