Fourth annual Music for the People draws 1,500+ to Tk’emlups Powwow Arbour

TK’EMLUPS — Organizers of ‘Music for the People — A Cultural Experience’ are celebrating a successful fourth iteration of the free event Sunday (Sept. 7).

More than 1,500 attendees gathered at the Tk’emlups Powwow Arbour for what was billed as “a powerful evening of unity, music and reconciliation.”

The event brought together Indigenous and non-Indigenous musicians and dancers, including Margit Bandura, Henry Small, Jeremy Kneeshaw, members of the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra and the Sage Hills Singers, Drummers and Dancers.

The audience was also able to take part in the K’wseltkten Farmers’ and Artisan Market.
