KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Broncos were on the wrong end of another blowout in the BC Football Conference Saturday (Aug. 30) as they matched up against the top team in the league.

The Broncos scored three points in the fourth quarter as they fell 70-3 to the Okanagan Sun at the Apple Bowl. Benjamin Whitworth scored an 18 yard field goal with just 15 seconds left on the clock as the Broncos avoided being shutout for the first time this season.

The Sun improved to a perfect 6-0, while the Broncos fell to 0-6 with four games left to play this season.

It’ll be another tough one for the Broncos this weekend as they’ll be on Vancouver Island to face the 5-1 Westshore Rebels at Starlight Stadium this Saturday (Sept. 6).
