Kamloops paddlers add to medal haul at Canoe Kayak Canada Sprint National Championships
REGINA, SASK. — The Kamloops Canoe and Kayak Club added four medals to its hardware haul at the Canoe Kayak Canada Sprint National Championships on Thursday [Aug. 28] in Regina.
Brothers Douglas and Harris Hunter won silver in the under-18 men’s K2 500-metre race as they finished about a half second behind the gold medallists from Nova Scotia.
Corben Hickey and Nate Neuls also won bronze in the U18 men’s C2 1,000-metre race.
Kamloops paddlers have combined to win seven medals at the national championships.
