Chase RCMP investigated alleged sexual assault at Pritchard-area music festival
PRITCHARD, B.C. — Police in Chase are investigating after a woman said he was drugged and sexually assaulted at the Electric Love music festival near Pritchard.
Chase RCMP say they were called by security personnel at the festival around 5:00 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 9) morning. Police say the woman alleged that she had been drugged with Gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid (GHB), which is another name for the generic drug sodium oxybate.
“Security personnel conducted a search of the suspect’s RV, where they located substances believed to include GHB, ketamine, and magic mushrooms,” RCMP Const. Sarah Van Wilgenburg said.
“Officers took custody of the seized substances and an air-powered replica handgun also found in the suspect’s trailer.”
