Seymour Arm-area fire grows to 10ha

SEYMOUR ARM, B.C. — The wildfire danger rating is high for most of the Kamloops Fire Centre — with pockets of extreme, especially to the southwest.

The only significant wildfire in the region Wednesday (Aug. 27) is the Cayenne Creek fire north of Seymour Arm.

Discovered on Monday, the fire has now grown to 10 hectares.

On Tuesday, the BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) said it was displaying Rank 2 and 3 behaviour, meaning it is mainly spreading along the ground surface.
