Broncos remain winless at halfway point of BCFC season

KAMLOOPS — It was another tough loss for the Kamloops Broncos who remain the only winless team in the BC Football Conference this season.

The Broncos gave up 21 points in the third quarter en route to a 31-12 defeat to the Prince George Kodiaks Saturday (Aug. 23) evening at Hillside Stadium.

Kamloops scored 12 points in the second quarter to led 12-10 at the half, but they couldn’t keep that level of play up in the final two quarters and were held scoreless in the final 30 minutes of play. Saturday’s loss means they’re now 0-5 on the season.

The Kodiaks improved to 3-2 and sit in third place with five games left to play in the regular season.

The Broncos will play their next two games on the road, and they’ll be in tough as they face the league’s top two teams. They play the 5-0 Okanagan Sun and the 4-1 Westshore Rebels on each of the next two Saturdays.
