TRU WolfPack partners with Play Forever charity to offer free youth basketball camp in Kamloops
KAMLOOPS — The TRU WolfPack have partnered with a Canadian charity to offer free youth programming in the City of Kamloops.
The WolfPack announced the partnership with Play Forever Monday (Aug. 18). Founded in Richmond Hill, Ontario in 2018, Play Forever says it is dedicated to providing structured and accessible recreation, education, employment and mental health services in Canada.
In a news release, the WolfPack say kids in Grades 6 to 9 will be able to take part in a weekly basketball camp that will tip off at the John Tod Community Centre. It will run on Tuesdays from Sept. 16 to Oct. 28.
This camp will include basketball skills, 3-vs-3 play, a group meal and a guest speaker. Programming will be coordinated locally by TRU Athletics with support from Play Forever staff.
