Severe thunderstorm watch issued for Nicola and South Thompson regions

KAMLOOPS — A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for Kamloops and most of the surrounding area Wednesday (Aug. 13).
In the Fraser Canyon, Nicola and South Thompson regions, Environment Canada says conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
Residents are encouraged to go indoors if they hear the sound of thunder.
