Province expands air quality advisory to Ashcroft, Cache Creek

LYTTON, B.C. — The province has expanded an air quality advisory in place due to smoke from the Cantilever Bar fire near Lytton.

The initial advisory was enacted Tuesday (July 29) for the Fraser Canyon. Wednesday, the province expanded the advisory to include the South Thompson region, specifically Ashcroft and Cache Creek.

The province says residents of all those areas should consider moving their activities indoors until the advisory is lifted.
