Our beautiful, kind and loving Mother passed away at Trinity Hospice (Overlander). She left us to join her husband of 64 years John, who passed away a mere 8 months ago. They shared an everlasting love, and we are at peace knowing they are together again.

Joanne was a proud Mother of 4. Jana (Darcy), Tracy, Kari (Brent), and Peter (Amy). Grandsons Justin (Yalena), Ben (Aly), Brayman, Kelby, Brady, Jake, and Cole. Great-granddaughters Kenley, Bexley , and Tahlia.

Mom grew up in a very musical family & started playing the piano around the age of 4. This was her passion and talent throughout her life. She obtained her Music Degree from the Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto in 1962. Joanne was also a School Teacher and Real Estate Agent. However, her main career was Wife and Mother. She created a stable, loving home that was filled with laughter, love, music, and wonderful memories. We are so grateful and proud to have called her our Mom.

Joanne is survived by her Sister’s Bernie Jean Worobey (Salmon Arm) Marilyn McComber (Kamloops).

From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to thank Dr. Trudeau and all our Mom’s caring Dr’s throughout the years. All the Nurses and Caregivers at Trinity who are truly Angels here on earth. She felt so much love and support from you and we will be forever grateful to you all. We will miss her deeply but will hold her in our hearts forever. The advice she left us with was “hug the ones you love every day and always be kind”.
