COLLINS: Trump’s stupidity is contagious

JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT you’d had enough of Donald Trump something happens to make you say “my God, enough punishment already.”

The latest isn’t actually precipitated by Donald himself. At least not directly. It’s more like others are getting caught up in his rapidly-increasing ludicrous behaviour.

A group of six Republican lawmakers in the U.S. Midwest have written Canada’s ambassador complaining that wildfire smoke from fires in Canada is blowing south, hindering their enjoyment of their lifestyle.

If I were a humourist, I could not have wished for a better topic to fall into my lap.

Stephen Leacock, the world’s best-known humourist from 1915-1925, would have a field day. I wonder if Donald Trump would try to put a tariff on it. He could claim we’re exporting smoke to the U.S. And that should be worth at least a 50 percent tariff, don’t you think?
