RCMP Underwater Recovery Team searching for missing TRU student

KAMLOOPS — The search for a missing TRU (Thompson Rivers University) student who was last seen entering the Thompson River on Sunday (July 6) has stretched into it’s third day.

The RCMP Dive Team is in Kamloops, spending Wednesday (July 9) morning at Overlanders Beach. The team consisting of two kayaks, a dingy, and two scuba divers were searching just offshore for any signs of the missing man.

“We do have our underwater recovery team and our marine boat operators out from the Kamloops RCMP, looking around the overlanders area to see what they can find,” said Cpl. Dana Napier. “If there is any further information that can help in order to advance this investigation to locate this missing TRU student.”
