KAMLOOPS — BC Soccer is hosting a town hall meeting in Kamloops next week as it works to shape the future of the beautiful game in the province.

The Kamloops town hall is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday (July 11). BC Soccer said a location will be emailed to participants who sign up online.

Similar town halls have already been held in Burnaby (July 2) and Victoria (July 4), with meetings set to also be held in Prince George (July 7) and Cranbrook (July 9).

“These Town Halls are open to all players, families, coaches, referees, administrators, and anyone passionate about the game,” a statement from BC Soccer said.

“The events will build on the work already completed, including one-on-one consultations with key stakeholders and partners, individual meetings with member organizations and a province-wide survey gathering valuable insights from soccer organizations.”

BC Soccer said as part of the vision outlined in its 2025-28 Strategic Plan, it is “committed to modernizing governance of the game across British Columbia – with a strong focus on accountability, transparency, and the effective use of resources to achieve collective goals.”

“That means improving accountability, increasing transparency, and using resources more effectively to achieve our collective goals,” it added.

“It also means building a structure that puts people first – the players, coaches, officials, and organizations who shape the sport every day.”
