KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers quest to make the WHL playoffs for the first time since the 2022-23 season will begin at home in a little over three months time.

The Blazers are scheduled to host the Spokane Chiefs at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20 at Sandman Centre in their 2025/26 WHL home and season opener. The Chiefs were runners-up last season as they were beaten in five games by the Medicine Hat Tigers.

The 2025/26 WHL Regular Season will officially begin one day earlier on Friday, Sept. 19, with eight games. The expansion Penticton Vees will play their first game that evening in Victoria against the Royals.

The Vees will host the 2026 Memorial Cup hosts Kelowna Rockets on Sept. 26 in their home opener. The Rockets will begin their season at home to Spokane on Friday, Sept. 19.
