August 8, 1931– April 28, 2025
Sadly, we inform you that Toby passed away April 28, 2025, in hospital, of a blood infection.
Born August 8, 1931, he is predeceased by his parents John and Mathilde, son Dwight and first wife Selma.
Toby is survived by his loving wife Erika, son Paul (Linda), daughter Sandra and stepdaughter Hayley along with his siblings, John, Ruth, Sigurd and Else.
Toby was a man of many talents. As a heavy-duty mechanic he owned his own business and then became a valued employee of Connor’s Drilling which took him all over the world, making the drilling industry efficient.
Toby got his pilot’s license 50 years into his life already being a great sailor, hunter, builder, hiker, skier, father, husband and trusted friend.
He built a beautiful home in Kamloops (Pinantan Lake), also owned and operated his own sailboat, Chinook, and piloted his own plane, a Cesna 172. There was very little that held this astonishing man back…except maybe a bear named Charlie.
Toby was loved and respected by many; he will stay in our hearts forever.
