Maps, dates and times: when and where to vote in the Kamloops area

Apr 8, 2025 | 10:33 AM

The Kamloops—Thompson—Cariboo federal electoral district has been dissolved.

Following the call for Canada’s 45th federal election campaign on Sunday, March 23, the City of Kamloops was split into two ridings as some surrounding rural communities have been reshuffled.

The Electoral Boundaries Commission unveiled the two redrawn Kamloops—Thompson—Nicola and Kamloops—Shuswap—Central Rockies ridings in 2023. It comes following Canada’s federal election redistribution of 2022.

Within the urban area of Kamloops, the dividing line between the two ridings would travel north up Highway 5A, east on Running Horse Ranch Road between Aberdeen and Knutsford, and north again up Peterson Creek and on Glenfair Drive and Sixth Avenue.

Kamloops—Thompson—Nicola encompasses the western portion of Kamloops, along with Merritt and communities up the Thompson Valleys. Kamloops—Shuswap—Central Rockies begins east of Sixth Avenue and Highway 5A and goes all the way to the Alberta border.
