KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Fire Rescue (KFR) responded to a mobile home blaze at 1755 Ord Rd. at about 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday (April 1).

Once on scene, crews entered the building and knocked down the fire.

KFR investigators later determined a kitchen fire had spread into the attic of the mobile home.

Two people were taken to hospital with smoke inhalation injuries.

Captain Jeff Pont said damage to the mobile home was quite severe, but quick response from crews kept the fire from spreading.
