CACHE CREEK, B.C. — Residents of Cache Creek have been advised to boil their tap water before consuming it after an equipment problem was found at the local water treatment facility.

The village issued a Voyent Alert! message Sunday evening (Feb. 16) warning of the equipment failure.

Water system users are instructed to bring their water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using it for drinking, cooking or brushing their teeth.

There is no word when the failure at the water treatment plant is expected to be remedied.
