SALMON ARM, B.C. — Salmon Arm RCMP are asking for the public’s help in finding a stolen pickup truck.

RCMP say a dark green 1999 Ford F-250 was stolen near Piccadilly Mall at around 8:24 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 13).

“Stolen vehicles are often used to commit other property related offences over a period of several days and sometimes weeks before they are dumped, and another vehicle is stolen,” Cst. Andrew Hodges, Salmon Arm RCMP Media Relations Officer states in a news release issued Friday. “This particular truck is somewhat unique due to its age, diesel fuel type, and front visor. We believe the public can assist us in locating it quickly, increasing our likelihood of apprehending someone and preventing further crimes with it.”

Features on the stolen F-250 include:

  • a visor above the windshield
  • a 4×4 decal on rear panel
  • diesel fuel
  • non-dually
  • no front plate
  • rear B.C. license plate 4167HR

RCMP note the license plate was possibly replaced since it was stolen.

Residents are encouraged to lock all their doors and windows, never leave their vehicle unattended with the keys inside and not hide a spare key inside.

Anyone with information regarding the theft, or who believes they have located the truck, is asked to contact Salmon Arm RCMP at 250-832-6044.
