No injuries reported, cause still undetermined after downtown Kamloops fire
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops firefighters say they’re still working to determine the cause of a Sunday (Feb. 9) evening fire at a downtown carriage house.
“At this point, we can’t really speak to the cause,” Kamloops Fire Rescue (KFR) Life Safety Educator Captain Jeff Pont said Monday.
“We’ve got our investigators and RCMP looking into the cause right now and as that evolves, we can share more information.”
Speaking to CFJC at Seymour Street and Sixth Avenue, Pont says crews were called around 8:00 p.m. Sunday, and found the building fully engulfed when they got there.
