August 25, 1935 — February 3, 2025

Born Santina Della Libera in Fregona, Treviso, Italy on August 25, 1935, Tina passed away suddenly on February 3, 2025, at home in Kamloops.  Pre-deceased by her husband Carlo, son Craig, sister Maria and brother Adriano.  Her memory will be treasured by her son Mauro (Linda), daughter Lora (Derren), daughter-in-law Linda (Craig, deceased), grandchildren Riana (Brian), Isabelle, Nate, great granddaughter Talia.  Also left to mourn her passing are her brother Fiorello (Diana), sister Dima, many nieces and nephews, and long-time friends.

Tina arrived from Italy in the winter of 1957, to join her fiancé Carlo in Whitehorse, YT, where they were married, and Mauro and Craig were born.  After a brief return to Italy, the family came back to Canada in 1966 and decided to make Kamloops their home.  A few years later, they welcomed baby sister Lora.  Tina lovingly embraced her role as wife, mother, homemaker and, eventually, Nonna.

She will be remembered for her wonderful (often intuitive) cooking and baking, the clothes and items for the home that she made for all of us, and the many houses she turned into homes over the years for her family.  Those who knew her recall that she was always cheerful, and happy to be amid a gathering with family or friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Sacred Heart Cathedral on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 11:00 am, with The Reverend Father Derrick Cameron celebrant.  Entombment will take place at the Sage Valley Mausoleum.
