LANGLEY B.C. — A pair of rinks with connections to Kamloops remain in the hunt at the B.C. men’s and women’s curling championships in Langley.

In women’s action, the Corryn Brown rink is into Sunday’s final after an 8-3 win over the Kayla MacMillan rink in the 1 vs 2 page playoff game Saturday (Jan. 25) morning.

The Brown rink will play the winner of the semi-final between MacMillan and Kristen Ryan in Sunday’s final, scheduled for 9:00 a.m. at the George Preston Arena.

Team Brown, which also consists of Erin Pincott, Sarah Koltun, and Samantha Fisher, finished the round robin stage with a 6-1 record. Their only defeat came at the hands of the MacMillan rink, which also finished with a 6-1 record.

The winner of Sunday’s final will represent British Columbia at the 2025 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Thunder Bay, Ontario Feb. 14 to 23.

Also in Langley, Kamloops resident Jared Kolomaya will play a must win semi final at 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening, Jan. 25. This after his previously undefeated rink lost 6-5 in 11 ends to the Glenn Venance rink in the A vs B playoff match Friday evening.

Team Kolomaya, which includes Cody Tanaka, Andrew Nerpin, Nicholas Meister, and Nathan Small, will play Cameron de Jong at 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening for a chance at a rematch against Venance in Sunday’s final.

The winner of Sunday’s final, scheduled for 2:00 p.m., will represent B.C. at the 2025 Brier in Kelowna Feb. 28 to March 9.
