KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops says a staff-led update to how its Revenue and Taxation team receives requests could cut email volumes by upwards of 50 per cent.

City officials said this new system will help staff respond more efficiently, prioritize requests and provide consistent service, which staff note is expected to reduce email volumes by more than 10,000 per year.

“Available at Kamloops.ca/Revenue, the City’s new online Revenue Department Inquiries form will significantly reduce the back-and-forth emails involved in processing the 20,000 unique requests the Revenue and Taxation team receives each year,” said a statement from city officials.

“By collecting the necessary information upfront, the form will help staff respond accurately to requests regarding property taxes, utility billing, MyCity access, tax certificates, or any other general revenue or taxation inquiries.”
