The Songwriters Hall of Fame revealed its 2027 ceremony nominees Thursday, featuring a high-profile lineup. Lady Gaga, Pink, Shakira, Jack White, Sia, Boy George, and Vince Gill are among the performing writer nominees. Non-performing nominees include George Merrill and Shannon Rubicam, who co-wrote Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” and Andreas Carlsson, writer behind “I Want It That Way” and “Bye Bye Bye.” Stock Aitken Waterman, known for Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up,” also made the ballot. Voting closes December 14, with the official class announced in January. The ceremony follows the 2026 show, where Taylor Swift became the organization’s youngest-ever inductee. Story URL
