Pierce Brosnan Backs Callum Turner As The Next James Bond

Former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan has thrown his support behind Callum Turner as the next 007. Speaking to Vanity Fair, Brosnan praised several actors reportedly testing for the iconic role but gave a special nod to Turner, his co-star in the 2017 film The Only Living Boy in New York. “Callum Turner is someone I’ve worked with, and he’s so strong,” Brosnan said. Turner and Slow Horses star Jack Lowden are among a handful of actors auditioning for the part. Brosnan also praised incoming director Denis Villeneuve, saying his work is “visionary” and predicting the film will be “truly magnificent.” Final auditions were last weekend and a decision is expected by the end of the year
