“Jackson was last seen, near the 5600-block of Coolridge Place, in a red 1998 Jeep Comanche,” said Cpl. Dana Napier, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson. “We are releasing his photo and asking the public to assist by reporting any sightings of his truck or of him.”

Napier notes Steed enjoys hiking and camping, and also likes driving along Robbins Range Road and to the Scuitto Lake areas in his truck.

Anyone who has any information about Steed’s whereabouts is asked to call Kamloops RCMP at (250) 828-3000 and refer to file number 2026-36840.

As of Tuesday afternoon, three of the five missing persons investigations communicated to the public in the past four days remain active – Steed, 14-year-old Mariah Kok and 44-year-old Stuart Crosman.

“While anecdotally there does appear to be an influx in missing person reports, each investigation is unique and so are the circumstances related to each missing person file,” said Napier in an email to CFJC Today. “Media releases are put out to help assist investigators with locating missing people after making investigative efforts to locate those reported missing and to assist with generating tips for police to follow up on in order to advance individual investigations. Each missing person case is continually assigned to a police officer to maintain investigative efforts day and night.”
