MLA CANDIDATE ISSUE #4 – How important is the U.S. Trade war to voters
KAMLOOPS — Immediately after calling a snap election, NDP leader David Eby stepped out front of government house in Victoria, saying he needed a new mandate to deal with the ongoing U.S.-Canada trade war.
Each party in Kamloops was asked: ‘this election was called by David Eby under the pretense of the U.S.-Canada trade war and the impacts of president Donald Trump. Is the U.S. the biggest issue to B.C. voters?’
It’s wholly possible that just weeks after B.C. elects a government, Trump could be a lame duck president following the mid-term results, making the future impacts of his personal trade war on Canada uncertain.
