100 MILE HOUSE — 100 Mile House RCMP are looking into a theft of a trailer, two car batteries and a pickup truck, which was later found engulfed in flames.

Police officials said the detachment received a call regarding a reported theft of a trailer from a business from a business along the 900-block of Exeter Mckinley Road at about 1 a.m. on Sunday (Oct. 11).

According to police, surveillance images show a Ford F350 with a canopy towing away the trailer.

At 7:30 a.m. that same day, 100 Mile House RCMP received another report from a business along the 800-block of Exeter Station Road — this time regarding an overnight theft of a grey 2006 Ford F350.

“Surveillance viewed from this location show a silver car, possibly a Honda Civic with a stock spoiler, enter the property at approximately 11:30 p.m. One individual was observed taking the truck and two car batteries from other vehicles and then returning to get the car a short time later,” said RCMP officials.

Later that morning, officers found the truck and trailer about 55 kilometres west of Williams lake.

100 Mile House RCMP officials said the truck was fully engulfed in flames, but the trailer was recovered.
