Harrison wins third term as mayor of Salmon Arm

SALMON ARM, B.C. — A longtime municipal politician in Salmon Arm earned a third term as the city’s mayor.

Incumbent Mayor Alan Harrison was successful in his re-election bid during Saturday’s (Oct. 17) municipal election, holding off the challenge from Daniel Brady. Harrison finished with around 78 per cent of the vote.

Harrison was first elected as mayor of Salmon Arm in 2018. He also served as a city councillor from 1990 to 1996, and from 2005 to 2018.

Meantime, the three incumbent councillors running for re-election were successful in their bids. Debbis Cannon, David Gonella and Louise Richmond will join Harrison for another term.
