Barriere residents elect councillors to join acclaimed mayor Kerslake

BARRIERE, B.C. — Barriere Mayor Rob Kerslake now knows who will join him on district council following Saturday’s (Oct. 17) municipal election.

All five incumbent Barriere councillors were successful in their re-election bids. Joining Kerslake will be Judy Armstrong, Donna Kibble, Louise Lodge, Colin McInnis, Brody Mosdell and newcomer Steve Boylan.

Kerslake will have his first full four-year term as mayor of Barriere. The two-term councillor won a by-election in 2025 following the resignation of former mayor Ward Stamer, who was elected as Kamloops-North Thompson MLA in the 2024 B.C. general election.
