100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — A 44-year-old 100 Mile House man was arrested after a pair of home invasions and assaults in a single day.

100 Mile House RCMP said the detachment received a report of a home invasion on the 6000-block of Bryce Road, Thursday, October 8.

At the scene, investigators learned that the suspect entered the home and assaulted a man, leaving him with what police believe to have been serious injuries. B.C. Emergency Health Services transported the man to hospital for treatment.

Officers were then called to another home invasion along 93 Mile Frontage Road.

Police officials said the suspect entered the home and used a weapon to assault another man. The victim was hospitalized with unknown injuries that police believe to be non-life-threatening.

100 Mile House RCMP said the investigation led officers to identify and arrest a suspect later that day – a 44-year-old local man.

“He was held for court and later remanded into custody; charges of Assault with a Weapon, Assault Causing Bodily Harm, and two counts of Break and Enter to commit Assault have been approved,” said RCMP officials.

The investigation is ongoing and any information can be reported to 100 Mile House RCMP at (250) 395-2456 or anonymously to Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at bccrimestoppers.com.
