KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP say one person was taken to hospital after a stabbing along the Tranquille Corridor on Saturday (Oct. 10) night, but details about a motive or suspects remain limited at this time.

RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Dana Napier confirmed to CFJC Today that they were called to an area near the 500-block of Tranquille Road – between Oak Road and Elm Avenue – around 11:05 p.m. Saturday night.

“Police attended and located the victim who had two stab wounds which appeared to be non-life-threatening,” Napier said in an email. “The victim was transported to hospital for treatment.”

Napier said a police dog team scoured the area, but noted the investigation is still ongoing. She confirmed no suspects have been arrested as of this moment.
