Major crimes investigation unfolding on Kamloops North Shore

KAMLOOPS — Details are slim, but a major crimes investigation is underway on the Kamloops North Shore Monday (Oct. 12).

An online post noted a police presence near Overlanders Beach and the Henry Grube Education Centre late Sunday night. Investigators remain in the area Monday afternoon.

A CFJC News reporter on scene early Monday afternoon observed three tents, about 20-to-30 feet apart, with a taped-off area in the trees adjacent to Overlanders Beach.

There were three general duty members on scene, in addition to several other investigators.

CFJC News has reached out to RCMP for details and will update this story when more information becomes available.
