TRU WolfPack fall to league leading UBC Thunderbirds
KAMLOOPS — The TRU WolfPack men’s and women’s soccer teams both fell to the league-leading UBC Thunderbirds inside a rainy Hillside Stadium on Friday (Oct. 9) night.
However, the WolfPack women achieved something not seen for nearly two years when midfielder Allison Hill found the back of the net just before the halftime whistle to make it 2-1 on the night.
It’s the second-straight game that Hill, a rookie from Valleyview Secondary, found the back of the net, and it snapped UBC’s run of 25-consecutive conference play shutout victories – a record that stretched back to Oct. 18, 2024.
However, UBC held on for the 2-1 win, handing the WolfPack women their first loss of the season. TRU is 5-1-3, second in the Canada West Pacific Division behind the 11-0-0 Thunderbirds.
