Beach to carry Green Party banner in Kamloops Centre
KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Centre riding will have five candidates on the ballot, including representation from the BC Green Party.
Annelise Beach will be flying the Green banner in the October 24 election. Beach works in the social services field and believes she can affect change after working for 10 years in a system that isn’t working.
“The BC Greens are proposing the ‘Fair Share Tax Act’ which is going to tax the wealthiest in B.C. and that will bring in $22.2 billion in the first year and $5.4 billion every year after that,” said Beach. “This is going to fund the programs that the working people and vulnerable populations desperately need like universal childcare, more non-market housing.”
