100 MILE HOUSE — 100 Mile House RCMP say officers attended two separate vehicle collisions on Tuesday (Sept. 29), with three people being hospitalized.

RCMP officials said the detachment received a report of a cell phone crash notification along Watch Lake Road, south of 100 Mile House.

Once on the scene, officers found a vehicle off the road where the lone occupant freed themselves.

However, police said the driver sustained what appeared to be serious injuries and they were taken to hospital for treatment.

That same day, police officials said a two-vehicle collision was reported within the community, on Highway 97 at First Street.

According to the RCMP report, a vehicle turning south onto the highway from First Street was struck by an oncoming vehicle.

Two passengers from an SUV were hospitalized with undetermined injuries that RCMP officials believe to be non-life-threatening.

One occupant in a truck involved in the crash was treated on the scene and did not request further medical attention.

100 Mile House RCMP officials said they do not believe impairment was a factor in the crash and the incident is under investigation.
