“Off Broadway right now they are doing it and it just passed the most performances ever for that show – more than 2,000 performances,” noted Brett Williams, who is playing Seymour. “In our version, we are wanting to do what you would expect from the show. People who love Little Shop will hopefully love it. But also something new and exciting with ‘Audrey 2,’ the plant.”

“Everyone involved has really kind of played with making it our own, and there are a lot of really interesting takes,” added Wallis. “And they are leaning into kind of a comic book design, which makes it really fun for the stage.”

The curtain will rise on Little Shop on October 8, running through October 25.

“It’s very spooky season-themed, so it’s good timing,” said Williams. “It’s a little scary, but it’s also very funny. It’s very camp and outlandish circumstances, so there is an element of terrifying and truth but also so ridiculous.”
